Erotica does Strictly

The stage show of this year’s Erotica, which takes place at London’s Olympia from November 18th – 21st, will be dedicated to sexy dancing and the organisers have recruited some of the art form’s biggest names. Andrew Cuerden and Hanna Haarala, who will be familiar to viewers of BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing, will lead a professional dance troupe through a showcase of ballroom and Latin American dances that promises to step way beyond Strictly’s boundaries by exploring the erotica of dance and how it has evolved. A leading choreographer from the show is advising on the routines and discussions are taking place with a number of other high profile ‘Strictly’ names.

“Dance in essence is the very language of love and sex,” said Savvas Christodoulou, Erotica supremo. “Millions are captivated watching couples master the art each week – and we wanted to push back the boundaries as far as possible. We even aim to teach visitors some passionate moves of their own.”

“It will be great to really explore the sexuality of dance,” said Andrew Cuerden.

Visitors to the UK consumer show will also be able to unwind in Erotica’s lap dancing club, which will have separate shows catering for male and female visitors, lust after the DreamBoys and experience spanking new gay and lesbian performances. Other attractions at 2011’s event will include the TGirl Bar and Fetish Zone and there will be a number of workshops which will cover topics such as erotic writing while Mistress Josephine will be giving out dominatrix tips.
