Bournemouth adult store Easy Tiger underwent major refurbishment last month and the former basement of the shop has now been have converted into a large DVD showroom.
Jonathan Spencer, owner of Easy Tiger, said: “After winning several window display competitions in the last year, the publicity that we have had since then has resulted in our trade being doubled – which meant the ground floor space was not enough. After looking at other premises in the same locality to expand the business nothing was suitable so I decided to stay at the same location and covert the basement. In the first week of opening it instantly made a difference to sales.”
One of the highest profile awards the shop has won was the Best Independent Jubilee Window Display award, which was presented to Jonathan by the Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce at the Hotel Miramar in June of 2012.
