Coronavirus fears result in May’s Expo Erotica moving to August

Expo Erotica, the UK consumer show that was scheduled to take place in Telford in May, has been moved to August due to the current coronavirus situation.

In a letter to exhibitors, organiser Inger Stevenson said: “We have done this to ensure that we can deliver the event and necessary footfall that [exhibitors] deserve, which may currently prove difficult due to this highly unprecedented situation. I personally feel that the media has hyped the whole situation up beyond what is necessary, however, my job is to protect the show and those who have supported the show.”

Members of the public who have bought tickets for the event will automatically have their tickets reassigned. An updated sex shop licence has been obtained for the new dates, which are 8th and 9th August 2020, and one benefit of moving the show is that it will no longer clash with any alternative markets, so traders who participate in these events will now also be able to take space at Expo Erotica’s dedicated Market Erotica area.

Inger told ETO that after breaking the news to exhibitors she had been astounded at the messages of love and support she had received. For more information about Expo Erotica contact Inger on 0191 557 9747 or visit https://expoerotica.co.uk/
