After finishing the expansion of its warehouse, Cobeco Pharma has announced the investment in new state-of-the-art machinery and the addition of a fifth automated filling line.
The company said the warehouse expansion realised extra available space to upscale the production, which led to the opportunity to invest in a new full-body sleeve machine and the fifth automated filling line to its current production and packaging machinery.
“The addition of the fifth automated filling line is an investment we are very proud of, as it will help us a lot to improve the service to our client,” said a spokesperson. “Also the new total full body sleeve machine is a big improvement with a capacity of more than 10,000 pieces a day. We are dedicated to delivering the best and quickest service to our clients so we had to upgrade the machinery to keep up with the growing demands. Since the start of Covid-19, we have seen major growths in our sales in 2020, so the expansion was definitely necessary.”
The spokesperson added: “With the various products we produce and the many orders that vary extensively, we have to switch frequently between products that we have to fill during the day. Efficiency is key to maintaining top speed in our production, but the continuous switching interrupts the pace. Adding the fifth full automated filing line improves the efficiency as we can fill more product now. It increases the amount of daily produced products and the total number of different products produced at the same time.”
Cobeco Pharma says its daily production is now rising above 30,000 products a day and this figure is expected to rise even more. The improvements in the production process, the warehouse expansion, and the investment in state-of-the-art machinery are the beginning of a future-proof operation with more improvements to come.
