Buckinghamshire-based Nude House – a computer software company – is recruiting female web code experts and salespeople with a difference. Along with the usual requirements, applicants should include ‘am prepared to work naked’ on their covering letter, if not their CV.
The nudist-run firm is a division of Songbird, which was founded in 1977 by clothes-dodger Chris Taylor. The parent company markets a product called ‘Move your Mouse’, which creates hot-spots on a web image to give info or clickable links. Nude House say they have up to 17 positions to fill with “lots of very attractive, nude young girls – 20-39.” The women should be practicing nudists with backgrounds in either coding or sales. The firm is also seeking “attractive, young nude men” in a sales capacity only. The company is offering £500+VAT for every product sold or £2,000pm (full time) for the female coders and on the nude-house.com website (registered to an address in Amersham) they’re asking for CVs to be sent to [email protected], with ‘optional photographs.’ A phone number is also given, but it’s only a mobile…
Speaking to The Register, company MD Chris Taylor explained: “As far as I am aware this is not only the first UK office job for naturists in web-coding or web-selling, but is also the first worldwide facility for naturists to earn substantial sums of money from work that incidentally provides them with the capability to work entirely without clothes. Because it is the first establishment in the world it is difficult to advertise – many seem to confuse the issue of being without clothes as being a place without concerns for personal freedom, where sex is paramount in its many varied forms.”
Taylor concluded that customers would not know they’re dealing with naked employees and noted that the nudist jobs will be filled on the basis of sales and technical ability. The nude-house.com website adds that, “New applicants will be required to work in the nude from the time they arrive at work until they leave to go home. Nude means no clothes whatsoever and no shoes either… Each of you – male or female – will behave decorously.”
