Bearly legal firm celebrates 10th birthday

Posted: August 22, 2008

The BT Bears Company, producers of the Bad Taste Bears range, celebrated its 10th birthday in August. Masterminded by illustrator and graphic designer Peter Underhill, collectable figurines in the Bad Taste Bears range include Willy, who has a passion for flashing, porn-loving Clubber Bear and the gimp mask wearing Den of Iniquity.

The limited edition Bad Taste Bears are now recognised as collectors items – a recent example in an online auction reached £2,000.

John Wright, MD of The BT Bears Company, commented: “Our tenth anniversary is a great landmark for the company. The proof of our success is in our sales and the Bad Taste Bears have proved they have a lasting appeal that attracts a varied audience with a sense of humour. The business has changed considerably over the years, from a few bears going on sale in the Gadget Shop, to where we are today, with international demand. Our anniversary is a tremendous opportunity for us to not only look back at first bears, but also to look forward to the future. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the Bad Taste Bears collectors, partners and suppliers who have all contributed to our success.”
