Are you ready for Eroticon? Creative conference returns in June

Eroticon returns to London this summer

The conference for erotic creatives is back in business: the first Eroticon weekend since the pandemic will be held on June 10th and 11th in Camden, London.

After a Covid hiatus, the UK’s long-running conference for sex bloggers, erotic writers and other creatives in the industry is returning. The first speakers have been announced and online censorship is one of the first big topics on the schedule: Dr Carolina Are, online activist and pole dancing instructor, will be sharing her research on shadowbans and offering advice to bloggers on how to publish adult content in an age of increasing censorship. Neil Brown of decoded:legal will be giving an overview of how the Online Safety Bill could affect those working in the adult space.

And with audio porn taking even the mainstream media by storm, sex blogger Girl on the Net will be running workshops for erotic writers on how to create it, and why making adult content more accessible can work miracles for your traffic and engagement.

In previous years, Eroticon has attracted over a hundred attendees each weekend, most of them key influencers in the sex industry, such as journalists, sex bloggers, erotic writers and campaigners from all across the UK as well as the US, Canada, Europe, and as far away as New Zealand. As well as online coverage on attendee blogs – over 40% of attendees wrote about Eroticon prior to or after the event – Eroticon has also been covered in mainstream press outlets such as Vice, the Independent, Metro and more.

Companies, either through business tickets or event sponsorship, have the opportunity to network directly with this core group, displaying products and taking part in demonstrations as well as sharing their expertise on panel discussions.

Conference organiser, sex blogger Molly Moore, said: “It’s such a joy to be able to bring Eroticon back. Covid ruined our 2020, but I know attendees are excited to return after such a long break. It’s a unique weekend because we run a strict anonymity policy, meaning we can attract speakers and visitors who are unable to go to some of the bigger industry events.

“There’s a lot of pent-up frustration from influencers who have missed the opportunity to talk about their passions and their work so I think this year will be the best one yet. If you’ve never been to Eroticon before, now’s the time to jump in!”

Chaturbate, Sheets of San Francisco, Ruby Glow, and ElectraStim are already lined up to sponsor the event, and ElectraStim’s marketing and communications manager Claire Blakeborough commented: “We’re so excited to return to Eroticon. We’ve sponsored the event for three years running and always value the opportunity to connect with the amazing creatives who bring so much to the industry, introducing their readers to our products and spreading the word about what we do. If you want to make long-term connections, you really can’t beat a friendly, in-person event like Eroticon.”

There are a limited number of sponsor slots left. Interested? Email [email protected] to find out more. Alternatively, business tickets can be purchased for the full weekend for £260.
