Ann Summers and Deliveroo link-up showcased on This Morning

While last week’s announcement that a selection of Ann Summers products is now available from online food delivery service Deliveroo was duly covered by much of the UK media, ITV morning magazine programme This Morning went further –by taking delivery of an order live on air.

The partnership between Ann Summers and Deliveroo’s shopping service Hop is a trial for the run-up to Valentine’s Day and available only in Brighton, Manchester, and Canning Town and Vauxhall in London.

“Valentine’s Day is one of the most exciting and important occasions for Ann Summers fans and we can’t wait to provide new and existing customers with another way to shop with us,” said Ann Summers chief executive Maria Hollins.

This Morning hosts Rylan Clark and Rochelle Humes were discussing the item when their conversation turned to ‘wipes’ – one of the 15 items on offer. Intrigued, they decided to find out what they were by instructing a member of the production staff to place an order for them.

Not long after, the hosts welcomed a uniformed Deliveroo rider onto the studio floor where he presented them with a brown paper bag containing a couples play set, a power bullet, and a bottle of Durex tingling lube – though no wipes.

As they removed the items from the bag, Rochelle commented: “I’ve just had that thing where I remember my mum watches this!”

And, we imagine, Ann Summers’ PR team was placing its own Deliveroo order – for celebratory bubbles.
