And the winners are… about to be revealed (finally!)

The winners of the 2020 ETO Awards Sponsored by Satisfyer will finally be revealed next week. The awards were originally scheduled to be presented at a dinner on the evening of the first day of the ETO Show in March, but the pandemic resulted in the event being postponed until September. But as September neared, it became clear that no events of this nature were going to be happening in the UK this year.

“With government restrictions on conferences and business events still being in place, we had no option but to reschedule the show for next year,” explained ETO Show organiser Jonathan Kirk.

So with an actual awards presentation prohibited, the decision was made to reveal the winners in an online broadcast. The 2020 ETO Awards Sponsored by Satisfyer will be broadcast at 7.30pm GMT on Sunday 20th September on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram and it will also be available to view on various streaming platforms afterwards.

ETO publisher Lee Schofield commented: “We had hoped to present the awards in person at the September show but now that has been ruled out we are doing the next best thing: announcing the winners in a broadcast.”

There will be 26 awards in the following categories: Products (Best New Female Product, Best New Male Product, Best New Couples Product, Best New Product Range, Best Consumable); Brands (Best Fetish Products Brand, Best Pleasure Products Brand, Best Luxury Brand, Most Innovative Brand, Best Sexual Health Brand, Best Consumable Brand, Best Lingerie Brand); Distribution and Retail (Best Pleasure Products Distributor, Best International Distributor, Best Lingerie Distributor, Best Retail Chain, Best Individual Store, Best Online Retailer); People (Best Sexual Health Ambassador, Best Brand Ambassador, Best Industry Ambassador, Best Store Manager, Best Sales Team); and Excellence (Excellence in Sustainability, Excellence in Packaging and Branding, and Grand Prix Award for Excellence).

Schofield added: “It’s a great shame that the industry won’t all be together in one room, drinking and enjoying each other’s company as we reveal the winners, but we hope you’ll all join us virtually on the Sunday evening – when ETO Awards have traditionally been presented – and have a few drinks and chat along with us on social media.”
