US trade magazine Storerotica has announced the winners of its 2020 awards – belatedly, just like its counterparts this side of the Atlantic.
“Though this year has presented our industry with unprecedented challenges we believe that the SE Awards are a critical part of what we do here at Storerotica,” said the magazine’s PR and marketing director Kristofer Kay. “While Covid continues to affect our world, we look to honour those vendors and retailers who are allowing nothing to stand in their way in creating exemplary products and progressive customer education all the while continuing to make strides themselves to reinforce the perseverance and vitality of the adult retail business.”
He continued: “Rather than suppress the accolades achieved by vendors and retailers against seemingly insurmountable odds we look to applaud their ingenuity, character and vision as leaders of our industry; it just so happens to be from afar for the time being. This ‘new normal’ won’t affect our feelings towards a community we consider home. SE is looking forward to the day where we can once again congratulate this year’s winners in person.”
The 2020 Storerotica winners included: CalExotics (Pleasure Product Company of the Year), Nalpac (Distributor of the Year), Exsens (Sexual Enhancement Company of the Year), MD Science Lab (Lubricant Company of the Year), Satisfyer (Foreign Manufacturer of the Year and also Retailer’s Brand Favorite of the Year), Pipedream (Luxury Product/Range of the Year for 24k Her Ultimate Pleasure), Sportsheets (BDSM Product/Range of the Year for Saffron), Oxballs (LGBT Company of the Year), XR Brands (Fetish Company of the Year), Nasstoys (Adult Game/Gag Gift of the Year for Lil’ Peep & Her Sheep), Doc Johnson (Male Pleasure Product Company of the Year for Opitmale Collection), Classic Brands (Body Care Product/Range of the Year for Coochy), WOW Tech (Excellence in Product Packaging), Voodoo Toys (Marketing Campaign of the Year), Shots (New Product of the Year for Twitch Innovation), Lora DiCarlo (Boutique Brand of the Year), Museum of Sex in New York (Independent Retailer of the Year), and Lion’s Den (Retail Chain of the Year).
