Alterego Lingerie has announced that it has expanded its cut-off time for same day dispatching of items. Orders can now be placed up until 1:00pm for same day dispatch, and the distributor believes this new flexibility will bring significant benefits and increase opportunities for its customers.
The new cut-off time is as a result of improvements the company has made in its warehouse operations in recent years. Since it started, from very small premises in 2007, Alterego has seen rapid growth and it now operates from a large purpose-built warehouse close to the centre of Hull.
“As we have grown we have tried to find new and innovative methods to improve our warehousing to make the handling of products more efficient for both our staff and our customers,” said Alterego operations director Gareth Laycock. “We have made investments in new software and by expanding our warehouse racking to store customers’ orders, ready to ship directly. It is essential for us to maintain factors such as having orders in discreet packaging that have no reference to Alterego, and it’s also crucial to have a low fault rate on our products – less than 0.001%. Other investments have included a new forklift and a box taping machine.”
