Posted: May 6, 2016
The organisers of Adultex 2016, Australia’s largest annual adult B2B trade exhibition, have declared themselves “thrilled” with this year’s event, which took place at the RACV Royal Pines Resort, Queensland, from 27th-29th April and attracted close to 40 exhibitors and more than 180 visitors.
2016 marked the 12th incarnation of Adultex and this year’s event was co-sponsored by Pipedream, We-Vibe and Womanizer. It is organised by leading Australia adult products distributor Calvista.
“We are thrilled with the overwhelming response we had from vendors participating in Adultex 2016, and were excited to unveil a few surprises at the show,” said Roger Sheldon-Collins, general manager of Calvista. “With the addition of sexologist and author Dr Nikki Goldstein and National Chairperson of the Society of Australian Sexologists Dr Christopher Fox, we aimed to help educate our valued customers on the links between sexual health and wellbeing and the adult industry, and the resources that are available. We thank our vendors and customers for their ongoing support in what was by all accounts a successful Adultex.”

Other award winners were quick to thank Calvista for the recognition:
Pipedream chairman and CEO Nick Orlandino said: “Thanks very much to Adultex, Calvista, our customers and the Pipedream team. We’re proud and honoured to be recognised by the 2016 Adultex Awards. When we released the Anal Fantasy Collection, it was the only line of its kind – now it has become a staple collection in the industry. Expanding the collection with more innovative products has made Anal Fantasy Collection one of our top selling brands. Pipedream will continue to set the industry standard and lead the way in product innovation.”
Stephanie Keating, We-Vibe marketing manager, said of Nova’s award: “After only four months in store, it’s wonderful to see Nova recognised for its innovative design. When we set out to create Nova, our goal was to deliver on the dual-stimulation promise that most rabbit vibrators fall short of delivering. Thank you Australia and thank you Calvista for being the first to recognise this achievement.”
Scott Watkins, Doc Johnson’s vice president of sales and marketing, said: “I speak for all of us at Doc Johnson when I say that we’re exceptionally honoured to receive this esteemed level of recognition. The growth and development of Doc Johnson over the years, particularly this past year, has been extraordinary; this award helps support that. Thank you to our customers, partners and supporters, and the dedicated team at Calvista, who hosted another incredibly successful Adultex show. The Doc Johnson brand has received overwhelming support from our global customer base, and we look forward to even more growth and success in the future.”
Susan Colvin, founder and CEO of CalExotics, said: “Thank you Calvista for this award. Scandal has been one of our most popular fetish collections and I am proud to see it being recognised around the world.”
Jackie White, executive vice president of CalExotics, added: “Scandal is the perfect fetish collection for retailers. Its packaging is eye-catching and will have shoppers doing a double take. Be sure to merchandise the entire collection together to make the biggest impact.”
Andrea Duffy, international sales manager at Rocks-Off, said: “Thank you to Calvista Australia for recognising our new Feranti range. We’re delighted to have won and to have been there with so many of the industry’s biggest retailers and distributors. The Feranti range has exceeded our expectations and will continue to grow in popularity thanks to the praise that it’s receiving. We will continue to add to this popular line.”
