New from Kheper Games is 2 Girls 1 Cup, which shares its name with a notorious video clip. If you haven’t heard of it you might want to read Wikipedia’s description before you Google it out of curiosity on your lunch break: “The unofficial nickname of the trailer for Hungry Bitches, a 2007 Brazilian scat fetish pornographic film produced by MFX Media. The trailer features two women defecating into a cup, taking turns in what appears to be consuming the excrement, and vomiting into each other’s mouths.”
Kheper’s game, thankfully, shares little more than a name with the clip, being basically a version of Beer Pong but with one cup. Designed to be played by two people or two teams, each player gets two balls and they take turns trying to land them in a cup. When they do, the other player takes a drink of the beverage inside. Kheper says it has packaged the game to appeal to female consumers, but anyone can play.
“Yes, we went there,” said Kheper CEO Brian Pellham. “We’ve been asked many times over the years to do a female pong game, and when we were deciding how many cups to include, the name just popped into my head. It adds shock value to the concept and gets a good laugh too. We launched it at ANME and it definitely received the strongest reactions from our customers. Most people knew what we were alluding to, but the couple that didn’t… well, I just told them they should brace themselves, and then look it up online.”
