There have been significant changes at the Venus Berlin management team, with both CEO Sven Hurum and show director Peter Bübel being replaced by Markus Hagewald.
Sven Hurum, who launched the very first Venus event 15 years ago, cited health reasons for his departure while Peter Bübel – show director for 12 of the last 15 years – stated that he is now looking for fresh challenges.
Markus Hagewald has been running his own businesses for the past 21 years and has been managing partner of a Hamburg-based movie and TV production company since 1998. The new Venus Berlin CEO is said to have extensive experience in marketing and PR and he will be supported in his new role by Beatrix Jaenicke and Heiko Heiden.
