Two new initiatives from Satisfyer: lower SRPs and huge investment in marketing
Posted: November 6, 2017
Since it entered the market Satisfyer has made no secret of its ambition to become one of the industry’s leading brands, and it has announced two major new initiatives: lowering the retail prices of its products and investing a ‘three digit million euro figure’ in marketing over the next three years.
In a statement issued by the manufacturer, vice president of sales Jerome Bensimon said: “Our DNA at Satisfyer makes us totally focused on end consumers and gives total priority to sell out. Becoming the most sold item in the world in less than 18 months and building a new dimension to sexual wellness market is requiring our complete attention and awareness, exchanging permanently with most of our partners and compiling sales data, leading us to be courageous to adjust our strategy at any time always for better results and anticipate our industry’s new challenges.”
He added: “This time has come again and we have decided to readjust our worldwide pricing strategy and conditions, to offer end consumers prices they are ready to pay, and maximise the tremendously growth at retail level, without large prices variations in between different sales channels. All our retail prices (MSRP) are now reduced to best selling prices observed, where sales in units are maximised. As an example, the Satisfyer Pro 2 Next Generation is now at $/€59.95 worldwide. Our prices to distributors and key accounts are kept to the minimum, even with all products improvement – such as Next Generation and Partner Plus Remote – and a worldwide advertising campaign for Satisfyer will start at the beginning of 2018.
“Retailers’ margin will offer less flexibility but a comfortable profit, bringing more competitive pricing with others sales network, translating into larger sales volume. Our company will continue to invest at each of its partner level, in trade marketing and special actions to support our customers’ businesses.”
The statement concluded by saying that the company planned to increase its turnover by a significant amount over the coming years, and in 2018, 2019, and 2020, there will be a ‘three digit million euro figure’ invested in promoting Satisfyer Men and Satisfyer Women worldwide.
