Search.xxx, the new Google powered search engine for the adult-exclusive .xxx top level domain, has received strong visitor numbers in its first week. .XXX operator, ICM Registry, has reported that it is pleased with initial traffic levels, which reached 1.2 million unique views and 8 million page-views.
“Traffic is settling down to a more predictable pattern as expected after the initial PR reaction, but in any event is way more than we had expected,” said ICM Registry CEO Stuart Lawley. “We are busy analyzing the logs and statistics for that traffic but, for example, in a 12- hour period last Saturday 26,000 different search terms made up hundreds of thousands of searches and in that period alone just over half of all the sites listed in the engine received some traffic. with many receiving thousands of hits.”

Search.xxx searches only .xxx domain-based websites, which includes 21 million pages of content, which it crawls and indexes by fetish or genre, across multiple languages and sexual orientations.
