Size matters at Xcite

With almost half of women in the UK size 16 plus, Xcite Books has launched Ultimate Curves, its first collection of erotic fiction aimed at curvy, sexy women and those who love them. The 20 stories contained in the collection celebrate the gorgeousness of bigger women and are written by some of the best-known writers in the business. To complement the title, Xcite Books, a sister company of independent publisher Accent Press, has also launched an Ultimate Curves lingerie range and dating website, which can be seen at www.ultimatecurves.com

“The tide is starting to turn against skinny minnies,” said Accent Press Managing Director Hazel Cushion, who is herself a size 18. “For a long time our readers have said they are turned off by size 0 women, so this book is an endorsement of just how sexy larger women can be. I felt there was a need to reinforce a positive image of curvaceous women.”

Erotic author Victoria Blisse is a size 20 and has been writing erotic fiction for nine years. She has two stories published in Ultimate Curves. She commented: “Ultimate Curves celebrates all that is good about being full-bodied and shows that you don’t have to be skinny to be sexy. So many stories have skinny characters, especially in erotica and romance, and sometimes you really can feel that voluptuous women are for comic relief only. It is wonderful to find a volume of short stories that shows us big girls that we are desirable too.”

Xcite Books are stocked in a wide range of retailers, including Ann Summers, Waterstones and WH Smith Travel. Adult stores who would like further information on stocking titles from the publisher should contact Xcite Books on 01443 710930.
