Sexpo UK announces 2016 hiatus

The organisers of Sexpo UK, Carnal Creative, have announced that the event will not be taking place in 2016, chiefly because of a “substantial” increase in venue rates from the London Olympia. This has been attributed to the closure of the venue’s main competitor – Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre – making demand for local exhibition space higher than ever before, which would have resulted in additional costs for Sexpo UK exhibitors.

The organisers will therefore be taking a hiatus in 2016 to explore alternative venues and implement feedback collated after Sexpo UK 2015. By communicating directly with exhibitors and industry peers, Carnal Creative expects to build on the successes of 2015 and develop the brand to create a bigger and better show for the future.

“Our mission is to deliver the only best in sexual health and lifestyle,” said Sexpo UK marketing director Nina Saini. “We want to give both the consumer and our exhibitors the event they deserve, even if that means taking time out to do so.”

The next international Sexpo event takes place in Sydney, Australia, from May 12th-15th. For more information visit www.sexpo.com.au To stay up to date with Sexpo UK visit www.sexpo.co.uk or connect via www.facebook.com/sexpouk and www.twitter.com/sexpouk
