Sexpo returns to the UK

The UK will have an adult consumer show this summer when Sexpo opens its doors at the NEC, Birmingham, from 12th – 14th July. The event was first launched in Australia, in 1996, later expanding to South Africa in 2007 and the first UK event was staged in London in 2015 by Carnal Creative under licence. Sexpo founder David Ross has now taken responsibility for the running of UK events and in a letter to potential exhibitors he said that marketing spend for July’s show would be in excess of £300,000.

The UK event’s website, www.sexpo.co.uk, states: “Sexpo is the world’s largest and longest-running health, sexuality and (adult) lifestyle expo. It is not a porn show, it’s a female and LGBTI friendly adult entertainment event… Over the 20 years we have been running the event we have produced, approaching, 90 exhibitions around the world and we continue to learn from each one, always making the next a better experience for the tens of thousands of people who visit each show. We say we are in the entertainment industry, and as such strive to provide a fun, vibrant and safe environment for open-minded adults to come experience an expo like no other.”

In addition to exhibitors selling goods, Sexpo will have entertainment from “international performers, male and female stage acts, comedy hypnotists, fetish demonstrations and audience participation competitions, including the world famous Amateur Strip and the acclaimed Sexy Cosplay competition”. Other attractions will include the All Male Revue and Laporium, as well as educational demonstrations and seminars in the Fetish Playroom and the Sexual Health And Relationship Expo Seminar Theatre.
