The organisers of Sexhibition have announced on Twitter that the 2017 event has been ‘postponed until further notice’. The event was scheduled to take place from September 1-3 2017, at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, the same venue where last year’s show was staged, but it has been the subject of rumours in the trade for several months.
The Sexhibition Facebook page (Liked by over 22,000 people) was last updated in January, as was the Sexhibition Twitter account (apart from a single video clip teaser post in March), and the Sexhibition website has also recently disappeared.
When ETO spoke to the venue last month, a spokesperson was only able to confirm that no firm booking – on any date – existed for Sexhibition this year. Indeed, another event was booked in for September 3rd though it was still possible to buy tickets for Sexhibition at http://sexhibition.nutickets.com/18546 – ETO purchased a £15 ticket for Saturday the 2nd of September on May 9th, which was duly emailed to us.
The full statement from the organisers reads: “It’s with great sadness that we must announce that Sexhibition has been postponed until further notice. Ticket holders can expect the refund process to begin in the next 28 days.”
