Relish replaces Nookie with Fyre

Nookie TV – the adult IPTV subscription service that was accessed via a free set-top box – has ceased transmission. The product has been marketed in the UK since November 2009 by film publisher Relish, on behalf of US-based company New Frontier Media. The US company cited “financial hardship” as the reason why it decided to cease transmission.

However, given the success Relish had with the Nookie TV IPTV solution, it has been quick to secure a replacement IPTV service for distribution within the UK. Fyre TV, which was founded in the United States in 2007, has appointed Relish as sole UK distributors of its already established IPTV solution currently available in the States.

With over 20,000 adult movie titles to choose from, including the entire Relish film library, the box allows the user to apply multiple search filters to find the exact scene of their choice. It also has the ability to record and store programmes. Unlike the previous Nookie TV solution this service has built in wireless capabilities and will be HD-ready later this year.

As with the Nookie TV Box, retail affiliates will be offered ‘generous’ residual commission payment terms from marketing this service. For more information and to view a demo of the Fyre TV service (launching July 2010) visit www.relishfilms.com/dropbox/fyre/
