‘ovo’ have claimed a success this year under the scrutiny of the IDEA judging panel. 19 items from their portfolio of adult lifestyle toys have made it to the finals of the USA’s International Design Excellence Award, where a 22-member panel of experts selected 19 finalists from the category “Toys & Games”.
Approximately 2,400 applications were listed for the award, which is sponsored by Business Week and judged on factors that include user friendliness, aesthetics, social responsibility in the production process, and innovation of design.
“There is no greater endorsement than a compartment of well-known designers, who have extolled our toys in a final selection. We are very excited about the final assessment”, said ‘ovo’ chief designer Philippe Reinhardt.
As finalists, ‘ovo’ are already allowed to wear the “IDEA Award” logo, which has been added to company branding, including packaging, flyers, catalogues, as well as the complete POS material and the ‘ovo’ website.
Winners will be announced in July and the award ceremony will be held at the International Conference of the IDSA in August.
