More Nice nominations

Nice ‘n’ Naughty has been shortlisted in two categories at the annual Cheshire Business Awards. The company itself is up for the Employer of the Year award while its Retail Director Trish Murray is a finalist for the Women in Business award.

Trish commented: “Nice ‘n’ Naughty has, over the past nine years, become the fastest growing adult chain in the UK with 11 stores across England and Wales and a thriving online shop. As market leaders, Nice ‘n’ Naughty was the first adult retailer to achieve Investors In People status back in February 2005, successfully retaining their status at their re-assessment earlier this year, and have also retained the prestigious ETO Retailer of the Year award for four consecutive years.”

Trish added: “The adult industry is a particularly male dominated environment. Entering into it nine years ago as a female with a wealth of ideas on how we could improve the business and the industry as a whole was uncertain ground – so it’s incredibly rewarding to be recognised.

Referring to the nomination for Employer of the Year, Richard Allmark, National Retail Manager of the chain, said: “We believe that it’s a real team effort and we wholeheartedly recognise the importance of each individual staff member, that they are essential elements that operate and power the Nice ‘n’ Naughty machine. Our healthy work environment and business culture ensure the staff are motivated, listened to, developed and rewarded.”

Nice ‘n’ Naughty Director Simon Prescott added: “We feel honoured to be shortlisted for these awards and would like to offer thanks to all our staff for their valued input and helping us achieve our goals, it’s greatly appreciated.”

The Cheshire Business Awards recognises nominees for their contribution to the county’s prosperity and economic success. The winners will be announced at a black tie gala dinner and awards ceremony at Chester’s Crowne Plaza Hotel on the 19th September, hosted by Lucy Meacock.
