Waxx Underwear received the nod of approval last weekend when Manchester City player Mario Balotelli was photographed browsing the brand’s new photographic print designs display at menswear shop Norton Barrie in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Shop owner Blake Norton has been stocking WAXX underwear since the label’s 2008 launch and declared it his best-selling underwear brand.

WAXX underwear is a French and British design collaboration that was initially intended to meet technical specifications for the extreme sports market. The addition of bold and provocative urban styling, and limited edition prints on soft-touch microfiber fabrics lead to the development of a comfortable and fashionable underwear brand.

The brand promotes its “distinctive, edgy, urban image” with taglines such as ‘dare to wear’ and its products are packaged in print coordinated, reusable metal tubes with viewing windows and a key chain, making them easily marketable as gift items.

Other celebrity supporters of the Waxx brand include McFly, Manchester United’s Anderson, The Hollyoaks cast, five times World Champion Freestyle Jetskier Lee Stone, and Coronation Street’s Chris Fountain (Justin).

The UK-based Waxx brand was established four years ago, and in 2010 was incorporated as Elite Apparel Ltd.
