If you’re in any way involved with the UK adult industry, it might be a good idea to mark July 27th and 28th in your diary as that is when the ETO Show rolls into the NEC Pavilion, Birmingham.
The event, which debuted in 2005, has become an essential entry in the industry calendar and it is the only dedicated trade event in the UK.
Organiser Jonathan Kirk reports that almost 60 per cent of the available stand space was sold in the first few weeks of the campaign. He commented: “All of the leading UK distributors are back including ABS, Apollo, BMC Intimate, Interfact and Net 1on1 as well as regular faces such as Blue Moon Lingerie, Clonezone, DVM, GotLingerie, Harmony Films, ID Lubricants, LTC Healthcare, Not Taboo, Phoenix Films, Pjur, Rocks-Off and many more. We are also welcoming back a number of European exhibitors, with Orion, Mister B and Joydivision already confirmed and discussions taking place with several more.”
As in previous years, the event – which attracts a huge number of national and independent retailers, web traders and party planners – will be strictly trade-only and there is no charge for admittance.
Kirk added: “We had a really solid show in 2007 and I feel it would have been even better if it hadn’t been for the freak weather and massive flooding that weekend. Thankfully it’s not likely to happen that badly again for 40 years or so and I feel that our attendance figure over the two days this year will be significantly improved as the show is now firmly established.”
