The categories for the 2013 ETO Awards have been announced and we are now asking for nominations. The ETO Awards Night is now firmly established as one of the highlights of the UK adult calendar and the awards themselves are among the industry’s most prestigious. Indeed, in the February issue of ETO, David Rennison of Kevco Wholesale described winning an ETO Award as: “Almost like having Royal Approval”.
The ETO Awards are also among the most inclusive as they recognise every link in the supply chain – from the brand that creates the product to the distributor who supplies it right up to the retailer who sells it – in one heady night. The awards are presented at a black tie dinner on the evening of the first day of the ETO Show, at the same location but before we even think about handing over our highly coveted trophies we first have to compile a shortlist in each category for you to choose your eventual winners from so we need your nominations. To ensure the whole process is as fair as possible we do ask that you to register your details with the site first – if you have yet to do this just click on the Register button on the top right of the home page and fill in your details. If you are already registered with the site or have nominated or voted in previous years you will not have to go through the registration process again.
Every year we take a look at the award categories to ensure they reflect the industry they serve and there are two small changes for 2013. The previously titled Best Online Resource has been replaced with Best Erotic Journalist, opening it up to all factual writers regardless of their medium, while writers of fiction now have their own Best Erotic Author category.
