Several dozen revellers joined Lee Schofield, Jacinta Williams, Tom Stock and Paul Smith from ETO Magazine plus ETO Show organiser Jonny Kirk at the Dirty Martini Bar in Covent Garden, London, from 4pm on December 12th. Attendees at the first annual ETO Christmas Drinks event included Mike Wallace from Darker Enterprises, Clive Gore of Scala Playhouse, Dean Farebrother and Tony Gonzales of Net 1on1, Paul Boote of Planet Earth, Lelo’s Kerri Middleton, Kate Egan of ABS Holdings, Andy Smith of Electrastim, PR angel Nina Saini, Eroticon organiser Ruby Kiddell, Jason Maskell of JCaz and many others.
With nibbles and Champagne consumed by 6pm, and the bar’s reservation expiring, the party relocated to Henry’s Cafe Bar at the other end of Covent Garden Square, after a short detour to the already-overflowingly-busy Marquess of Anglesey pub, before culminating at Spearmint Rhino. There was much talk of editor Dale’s predictions for the coming year as well as general boozy industry chitchat and networking connections being made – just like a mini ETO Awards Dinner in fact, but without any awards.
