Following the ‘overwhelming’ response to the launch of big bust brand Curvy Kate earlier this year, the company has decided to strengthen and build its sales force with the support of former Intimas employees Gary Watson and Andy Wrench.
After leaving Intimas earlier this year, Gary Watson (Northern Area Sales Manager) and Andy Wrench (Sales Director, Charnos Lingerie) teamed up to form AWG Brands; during their 25 years sales experience in the intimate apparel industry, the AWG principals have represented a portfolio of brands covering lingerie, shapewear, swimwear and hosiery. They immediately saw the potential of Curvy Kate, and their expertise will enable the brand to reach a wider market and provide a more personal service to its customers.
Andy Wrench commented: “The response we’ve had to the collection has been amazing. Curvy Kate offers a large size range, which many other plus size brands don’t have. We are keen to go out and meet our customers, to build a rapport and show them this compelling range first hand. We are delighted to be handling the sales of Curvy Kate in the UK.”
Curvy Kate offers DD – J cup lingerie for the fuller bust with back sizes from a 28 – 40. The Showgirl collection adds a burlesque theme, which includes glamorous padded and plunge designs available up to J cups. All Curvy Kate bras are competitively priced to retail at £26 – £30 and offer generous margins to the retailer.
The brand has been particularly popular with independent stores offering a specialist bra fitting service. Larger department stores and mail order companies including Simply Yours of the JD Williams Group have also added Curvy Kate to their product range. To see the full collection visit www.curvykate.com
