Canterbury boutique’s grand opening next week

A new Canterbury adult boutique is staging its grand opening on the 23rd of August with celebrities, industry names and suppliers plus local press attending. La Boudoir Boutique, a women-orientated store based in Hersden, near Canterbury in rural Kent, will be officially opened by TV’s favourite behavioural psychologist and celebrity sexpert Jo Hemmings, who will be joined by BBC Radio 1 Xtra DJ Charlie Sloth, Victor Ebuwa from Big Brother 5, erotic authors K D Grace and Kay Jaybee plus leading adult blogger Cara Sutra.

Champagne and canapés will be served throughout the day and visitors will have the opportunity to watch a sexy calendar photo shoot, the proceeds of which will be donated to the FPA sexual health charity.

La Boudoir Boutique is owned by online retailer AdulttoysUK and the firm describes the move into bricks and mortar retail as the second phase of its growth plan. The store will offer customers over 1,500 products from brands including Rocks-Off, Pipedream, Tenga, Loving Joy, Lelo and Jimmyjane. Lingerie lines will be from labels such as Chili Rose, Rimba and Darque.

Some firms will be creating displays of their products for the grand opening. Rocks-Off, for instance, has built a slatwall feature that includes a draped curtain, artwork and interactive product samples. Other suppliers creating in-store displays for La Boudoir Boutique include We-Vibe, House of Eros, Loving Joy and E-Stim Systems and there will also be a Fifty Shades of Grey installation.

Any other supplier who would like to attend the grand opening of the store should contact Julian Holloway on 01227 714755.
