CalExotics inks ‘biggest exclusive deal in its history’

Scala has announced it has signed an exclusive European distribution agreement with CalExotics, which also includes upmarket sister company Jopen, and it has been described as ‘the biggest exclusive deal in CalExotics’ history’. Scala will now be the official distributor for CalExotics and Jopen products in 26 European countries, and director Trudy Pijnacker described the deal as ‘an honour’, adding: “CalExotics is the premium name on the adult market. Its rich heritage of experience and knowledge about the industry, combined with its innovative approach to new products and collections, has established CalExotics as the go-to name for trendy erotic pleasure. As Scala is the go-to name in erotic distribution, we’re confident this exclusive partnership will only pave the way for many more exciting ventures, projects and mutual successes.”
Scala says that one of the immediate benefits that retailers will enjoy from this deal is consistency in product pricing and availability. Scala and CalExotics will also work together to help retailers maximise their sales, including offering marketing materials and detailed product information.
“We have already started working on exclusive content and materials for our customers to help them maximize sales potential,” said Trudy Pijnacker. “We can’t wait to expand the CalExotics brand and take it to the next level on the European market.”
Scala is also appointing a CalExotics brand ambassador, and CalExotics will be an integral part of September’s Scala In-house Experience Event, which will include product trainings, workshops and other activities.
“This is the biggest exclusive deal in CalExotics history,” said Susan Colvin, founder and CEO of CalExotics. She added that Scala has long been a strong supporter of CalExotics, and done well with exclusive projects such as the Inspire, Jack Rabbit Signature, and Red Hot Collections, and with the recent changes at Scala, it was a great opportunity for the two companies to make a strong partnership and consolidate distribution channels in the EU.

Sharp-eyed readers will have spotted that this deal covers 26 European countries. As the UK will be leaving the EU, it is not included in this distribution agreement, and current distributors in the UK will continue to sell CalExotics and Jopen products.
