America’s Next Top Erotica Writer crowned at Eroticon USA

Writer Renee Rose was named America’s Next Top Erotica Writer at Eroticon USA in Atlanta last month, winning a publishing contract with Riverdale Avenue Books. Renee won the title by submitting the first three pages of her work in progress, The Bossman, which is expected to be released in print in March 2014.

Shortlisted entrants were read aloud at the conference and faced a public vote from attendees and a judging panel of industry experts including conference organiser Ruby Kiddell, editor Debra Hyde and literary agent Katharine Sands. The panel was led by Lori Perkins, founder of Riverdale Avenue Books, who said of the competition: “We were thrilled to award Renee Rose a contract for her hot and wonderful Mafia Don meets masseuse princess novel, The Bossman, which was chosen as the winner by popular vote. We are hoping to publish the book in March, although all the submissions were quite impressive. Perhaps you’ll see some other familiar names from this year’s Eroticon on our website soon too. What a talented group of writers.”

Renee Rose commented: “Attending a conference in which I could be myself and talk openly about erotic writing in a sex positive environment was deeply healing. It was an honour to be selected from such an amazing pool of writers and I’m thrilled to represent Eroticon USA and to be working with Riverdale Avenue Books.”

Eroticon USA, the sex blogger and erotica writers’ conference, was held on 19th of October in Atlanta, Georgia, and more details will be included in the next issue of ETO. The next UK event will be held on 8th – 9th March 2014 in Bristol. For more information visit www.writesexright.com.
