Only 5 days remain until the crowning of the new Miss England and competition is hot, with no less than two reality show winners in the running. Miss London ‘Signed By Katie Price’ winner Amy Willerton, and Miss Devon ‘Britain’s Next Top Model’ finalist Charlotte Holmes are both favourites for the prize.
The pageant consists of 63 contestants, each competing for one of 15 Miss England grand final places. Amy already made the top 15 after winning the ‘beach beauty’ part of the competition, while Charlotte is in the running for the ‘talent’ award. 2010 runner-up Jaime-Lee Faulkner is also a favourite.
One of those 15 places, however, is open a public vote, with Charlotte currently leading followed by the 18-year-old Miss Liverpool, Faye Ayers.
The public vote will close on the night of the event, on Tuesday 26th June at 8pm, when the chosen beauty will be flown out to Mauritius the very next day to promote the Mauritius Shopping Fiesta from 29th June to 5th August, after which she will spend a month in China to participate in the Miss World competition.
