2019 ETO SHOW FAQ

Home

We hope that you are aware by now that the 2019 ETO Show sponsored by Satisfyer takes place on March 10th and 11th at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. In the March issue of ETO, which is scheduled to hit UK-based subscribers on Monday 4th March, there is a comprehensive preview of the event, along with details of which exhibitors will be showing what. Everyone involved in the sale of pleasure products is invited to join us at the event and if this will be your first time here are a few FAQs which you may find helpful…

What is the ETO Show?

It’s the UK’s only dedicated trade event for the pleasure products retail sector. Many of Europe’s leading wholesalers will be exhibiting along with a wide variety of specialist suppliers from the UK and overseas. Expect to see everything from lingerie and costumes to sex toys and sexual health products.

Where is it?

This year it will be held in Hall 3 of the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. In addition to several exhibition halls, the Ricoh Arena includes a 32,609-seater stadium, a hotel and a casino, and the site also includes the Arena Park Shopping Centre, containing one of UK’s largest Tesco Extra hypermarkets.

The Ricoh Arena can be found at Judds Lane, Longford, Coventry CV6 6AQ. It is within two hours’ drive of 75% of the population and is around 800 yards from junction 3 of the M6 as well as being within easy reach of the M1 and M40. It has 2,000 car parking spaces onsite, its own train station on site (and three others within eight miles) and Birmingham International Airport is only a 20-minute drive or taxi journey away.

The full address is Judds Lane, Longford, Coventry CV6 6AQ. You can contact the venue on 02476 933 444 or email [email protected] and for more information visit www.ricoharena.com

When is it?

The ETO Show takes place on Sunday 10th and Monday 11th of March 2019. The opening hours are 12.30pm – 5.00pm on the Sunday and 10.30am – 4.30pm on the Monday.

How much does it cost to attend?

Nothing. All we ask is that your line of business is the pleasure products industry. And, of course, a further benefit of attending events like the ETO Show is the chance to save money. Many exhibitors offer special show-only deals and promotions and additional discounts for orders placed on the stand. Those who buy in significant quantities can, and do, save significant amounts at the ETO Show.

I pre-registered but my entry badge has not arrived – what should I do?

Don’t panic, you can just turn up on the day and register in the foyer. But this is a B2B event which is not open to the public so please bring some form of ‘proof of trade’ with you, such as business cards, letterheads, or even just an invoice from a recognised supplier.

I did not pre-register but I would like to attend – what should I do?

If you have not pre-registered online, you can just turn up on the day and register in the foyer. But this is a B2B event which is not open to the public so please bring some form of ‘proof of trade’ with you, such as business cards, letterheads, or even just an invoice from a recognised supplier.

I am new to the industry – as in, in the process of setting up – so can I still come?

We try to be as open and welcoming as possible to new companies – after all, everyone was new at some point – but we cannot admit members of the public to the show. Even if you are so new that you haven’t even settled on a name you should still get business cards printed with your details on. It’s a tiny commitment and you risk being turned away without some proof of trade status. As an aside, without business cards you are also unlikely to be taken seriously by exhibitors.

Can I bring my staff or partner?

You are most welcome to and it can only help your business if they are fully up to date with the latest products and developments in the marketplace. Colleagues, partners and staff are all welcome but you must all register separately as the badges are individually printed and named. Please note that no persons under the age of 18 can be admitted.

What else is at the Ricoh Arena?

Facilities at the Ricoh Arena include a bar and brasserie, a coffee & bake house, and a Grosvenor Casino which incorporates a restaurant, bar, sports & entertainment lounge, and a poker room. It is open from 12pm till 6am Monday to Thursday and 24 hours Friday till Sunday.

What if I want to stay over?

The on-site hotel is the Double Tree by Hilton at the Ricoh Area (full address: Judds Lane, Longford, Coventry, CV6 6AQ, TEL: +44-2476-933340). Other nearby hotels include the Novatel, the DoubleTree by Hilton Coventry, the Holiday Inn, and the Premier Inn (click each hotel’s name for further information). A number of other hotels are located within a few miles.
